At the same time, my phone pings that the hall security camera had activated.
I calm Turtle down, check the camera, and it did not record.
OK, what is strange is that the camera will not activate unless there is motion near it.
Equally strange, we have a motion-activated hall light, and it did not come on.
If something activates the camera, it will also activate the light.
I got up; Badger and Lady were sound asleep behind closed doors.
Cowboy and I had been asleep with Turtle and Duffy, also behind closed doors.
The cats were locked in the laundry room, and there were no other humans or animals in the house to be out and activating the camera.
Turtle did what we call doing her rounds; she paced the living room until I was finished in the bathroom.
Then we went back to bed.
She lay with her nose at the door crack until 6 am, when she finally went to sleep at my side of the bed.
It was just very odd.
Equally odd, I have seven security cameras inside and outside.
Yesterday all my cameras were at 80%; normally it will take a week or two to totally drain them.
As I'm going through footage, I notice every single one of those cameras had a low battery symbol, and they were on between 20% and 14%.
That's just impossible, honestly.
Not overnight, and not every single camera.
OK, maybe not impossible, but it sure as heck is strange.
Go on, debunk it.
Cowboy says that a bug set off the camera, but not the light.
OK, reasonable, but it had to be a pretty big bug.
Turtle heard something outside, or being in a different house, she just had a brief moment of panic.
Reasonable, oddly enough, though, Lady and Duffy didn't bark one bark, and they usually join in.
So, not something outside, perhaps Turtle just woke up in a strange house and freaked out.
Cameras?
I'm having a bit of a hard time explaining that one.
The pool camera, man, I don't have to charge its batteries for a month or two; it just rarely activates.
And yeah, it even was drained.
Um, it got cold last night.
Doesn't the cold drain car batteries?
You know, you would expect the front door, the carport, and the side yard cameras batteries to maybe go dead all at once.
They are frequently activated.
But, the pool and the back door-I don't have to charge them, but maybe once every month.
The inside cameras, OK, yeah they too are used frequently, so no really no biggie them going dead all at once.
It's just the pool and the back door in addition to the others, and overnight.
